Once again Amelia Adams has written a terrific book! She brings to life several of the Brody Hotel "family" members readers have enjoyed throughout the series. In this particular book, Giselle meets a charming young man, Jesse, whose father was Scottish and whose second wife is Indian. Therefore, Jesse has learned to love nature and has adopted so many Indian ways. Jesse also has a half-sister that has been raised in the Indian culture. Sadly, people in the 1800's didn't always accept anyone that was from a different culture, whether they were black, Indian, or from another country. How did Giselle deal with Jesse's heritage? When her life was in danger, how did Giselle handle it? Did Giselle finally find love, or is she destined to be an "old maid". Did Jesse learn to live in the white man's world, or did he solely return to nature? Did his half-sister survive numerous scares she faced because of the life she was "expected" to live. There were many times throughout this book I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes; but, there were also times when my heart went out to the various characters. Once I started reading this particular book, I couldn't stop. Not only was this a great story, the entire series is one I highly recommend for all age groups.Product details

I love the story line and there isn't any smutt. Just a real fun old fashioned love story. Truly enjoyable.

Amelia always write a good. Read .I enjoyed reading this book ,wish. It was little bit longer .but its what I would call short and sweet a d to the point ..
I love this stories in Amelia C. Adams Kansas Crossroads Series and this one is no different. I love the all characters and enjoy catching up with "old friends" from past stories.
It took people with strength of character to settle this country. This author always gets it right when it comes to the people she writes about.
I have yet to read a book by Amelia that I haven't liked, this is no exception. Come read and get to know Giselle a waitress at The Brody Hotel and the mysterious Jesse, who'd caught between 2 worlds. Love isn't easy, but nothing worth having ever is.
Giselle and Jesse have an interesting and dangerous courtship. Their story has bad guys and Giselle shows her strength by shooting one of them to protect others. A very good and exciting story.
